Frequently asked questions

Why should I choose Pacific Database?
The answer is simple. We are the best Access developers in Australia & we're happy to prove it. We have been creating professional applications in Access since Version 1.0 was released in 1992. We have vast business experience in a wide range of industries, so we know what's important to you. Our Chief Architect is known around the world for his expertise in Access development & consulting.
Can you build an applicaton that integrates with other products?
Yes we can. We have significant experience integrating Access with a wide variety of other products, such as SQL Server, Oracle, SharePoint, Word, Excel, MYOB, scanners, POS systems, and so on. If it has an interface, we can integrate with it.Our job is to make it easier for you to do yours.

We're in a different country. What can you do for us?
Whether you're in a different country or just a different state, we offer you the same high quality service that you'd expect if you were in the next street. No matter where you are, we can work onsite with you, or we can meet electronically via videoconference, net meeting, remote desktop, email & phone. For remote customers, we also use TeamViewer remote support software. It works well for our existing remote customers.
We don't have a large budget. Can you still develop a solution for us?
Of course. We focus on the total project cost & work with you to achieve all of your business goals within your specified timeframe and budget. If we can't do that, we'll say so up front. We don't like to tell tales, but many Access developers offer a very low hourly rate in order to win the project, & then extend the project timeline (& cost) unnecessarily. We don't do that.
What about documentation & training?
We have significant commercial experience producing professional-grade technnical, user, project & training documentation & online Help systems. We can deliver in-house, remote or electronic user training for all the applications we develop.
I don't need the world's best Access developer. All I want is something quick.
A typical small Access application can cost $5,000 or more to develop. Large enterprise applications can be in excess of $100,000. If you were to spend that kind of money to purchase an off-the-shelf product from companies like Microsoft, IBM or Adobe, you would justifiably expect it to be of the highest quality.Regardless of who develops your Access application, a large financial investment demands more than a quick-n-dirty effort, so lowering your expectations of quality simply because it's being developed in Access just doesn't make good business sense. Quality is a work ethic, not an additional expense!
Because of our superior expertise, Pacific Database can guarantee to develop your solution faster and with greater quality than most other developers.
